Forty-five entries. Twelve winning ideas. Congratulations to this year’s TeacherPreneurs! These Knox County teachers embody the spirit of innovation and we’re eager to see their ideas come to life.
Great Schools Partnership received an $85,000 grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help fund this year’s TeacherPreneur grant program. TeacherPreneur is an a initiative of Great Schools Partnership and KCS Office of Innovation that invites Knox County teachers to be creative problem solvers by developing new instructional ideas to improve student learning. The most promising ideas are identified by a panel of educational experts and funded by Great Schools for pilot testing. Results are carefully measured, and successful pilots may be scaled up and shared with others.
Please note: Some of the winning ideas were joint proposals among multiple teachers, but checks we delivered to the Lead Teacher listed on the submissions.
